Do you need id or passport for account validation?

You do not need any document for using Wave Layer services.

Do you allow resellers?

You are allowed to resell all of our services inclusive to Dedicated Servers and VPS.

Are there any limitations in sending emails from your servers?

We do not enforce any limits on the amount of email that can be sent from Wave Layer Dedicated Servers or VPS.

Do you allow to update Reverse DNS?

You can request our support to update rDNS, we will be happy to fulfill your request as soon as possible.

What is the difference between a Dedicated Server and a VPS?

At Dedicated Server, the client has access to the full range of resources on the physical server. This includes all network access, hard drive storage capacity, memory, and processing power. The Dedicated Server as compared with VPS is far superior regarding speed and performance.

A VPS hosts the information of many clients on a single physical machine. For clients VPS appear as if they were on a separate dedicated machine. Not good as Dedicated Server, but VPS does the job which need little resources and where client is on budget.

Who will have control of the Dedicated Server?

You will get the full control over your server and its management. All your data will be accessed by you only and no third party will be able allowed to access your data without your permission.

How many IP addresses can I have per server?

We have partnership with different datacenters, so it is upto location. You can however look at server configurations during order as every location has different IP limits.

Can I change the physical specifications of the server?

You cannot upgrade from one dedicated server to another, instead order the new dedicated server. However you can still contact support to see what can be done.

If I am not using my server, do I still have to pay for it?

Unless you cancel your server, you are liable to pay the server fees even if you have not used at all.

Virtual Private Servers

What is the difference between Linux VPS & Windows VPS?

Linux VPS is particularly designed to be used with Secure Remote Login (SSH). With Linux VPS, you can install cPanel/WHM or DirectAdmin.

Windows VPS is particularly designed to be used with Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP). On Windows VPS, you are allowed to use Plesk control panel. Since Windows VPS uses graphic user interface (GUI), newbies will find it easier than the Linux VPS.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my VPS?

Yes, in order to proceed with upgrade or downgrade your VPS contact our support.

Can I run Linux VPS on Windows PC or MAC?

Yes, you can access and manage Linux VPS at any operating system including Windows/MAC provided you have browser and ssh client.

How many IP addresses can I have per VPS?

We have partnership with different datacenters, so it is upto location. You can however look at VPS configurations during order as every location has different IP limits.

Do I need license for Windows VPS?

No, as a client you do not need any license as we have already bought the license for every Windows VPS.

What software can I install on VPS?

Because a VPS operates like a real dedicated server almost all applications can be installed on your VPS.

What are your online timings?

We are online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Either its day or night feel free to contact our support at any time.

Is there any telephone support?

Yes we provide phone support however we prefer either you submit ticket or contact us via live chat.

What should I do when my server is down?

If you are not able to access your server, contact our support we will make sure your server is up.

What is the difference between managed and unmanaged servers?

Managed Servers are where the provider manages all the technical aspects of your server, such as backups, maintenance and risk monitoring.

At Unamanaged Server, you need to manage all the technical aspects by yourself.

Will I get any kind of assistance while using servers?

We provide unmanaged servers however as a courtesy we may take care of technical aspects like hardware, software installation, server hardening and network.

Does servers require a lot of technical knowledge?

Servers are best suited for those with technical knowledge, have a team dedicated to server management, or those who have the time to carry out all these tasks.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, PayPal, Perfect Money WebMoney, Skrill, SEPA and Wire Transfer. We also accept Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash Tether, Stellar, Dash, Dogecoin, TrueUSD and XRP.

Which Cryptocurrency do you accept?

We accept all major Cryptocurrencies, if you want to pay using Cryptocurrency which is not listed with us please request address of such Cryptocurrency at support for manual payment.

Can I get a free trial for Dedicated Servers or VPS?

At present, we do not have plans that allow our customers to test out our servers for free.

Does Wave Layer offer Money Back Guarantee?

All hardware is tested before it is delivered to you. Therefore, we currently do not offer any refund or money back guarantee.

Can you give a discount if we pre-pay?

Yes, we offer high discounts of 5% to 20% for pre-payment of 3 months or above.

When can I ask for a server to be cancelled?

If you no longer want your server, you just have to stop renewing it or contact our support to cancel the server.
